  • Serials check-in

    1. Done on daily basis, and varying amount: from 2 issues a day to 100 issues a day
    2. Slavic serials are known to arrive in erratic patterns.

  • Serials binding maintenance 

    1. Done by Mirella throughout the year for previous year (to avoid Slavic Research Lab interference that runs from July through first week of August).
    2. All binding is done outside of library, and Binding and Preservation Unit is preparing the serials to be shipped to commercial binding company. 
    3. It usually takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks for the serials to be returned from binding.
    4. When a title comes with no record/holdings AND requires an original record, work with the cataloging team.
