Cataloging Services: Using OCLC Connexion

Setting up Export to NZ:

*Note that Special Collections may need to export to the IZ. For questions please contact UI-LIB-CAT-CLEARANCES

To set up your NZ Gateway Export in OCLC Connexion client, select: Tools > Options > Export > Create.

The New Export Destination box appears. Select Export Destination: OCLC Gateway Export > OK.

 In the Local System Settings:

Enter an Export Destination Name: Gateway Export: NZ_UIU

Select the Record Characteristics box, and set the following for both Bibliographic and Authority Records:

Click Apply > OK

Setting up Export to IZ:

Setting up Export to NZ:

Follow the configuration steps outlined above, except use the following settings:

In the Local System Settings:

Use the Export Destination Name: Gateway Export: NZ_PSB 

Setting up Export to IZ:

For Alma Premium Sandbox IZ configuration (rare case), please contact: UI-LIB-CAT-CLEARANCES

Export Procedure:

1. With the record you wish to export on the screen, and with the correct export destination selected under Options (see above), click the Export icon: 
2. After a moment, if the export is successful, you will see a confirmation message on the screen with the MMS ID listed.
3. You can copy this MMS ID to retrieve the record in Alma.
