Search for Item Record

  1. Search for a bibliographic record then select Items from the ellipsis dropdown menu.

             

        The list of items shows item records attached to the bibliographic record. This can be useful, for example, when assigning a copy ID to a new item record

            

        The List of items page contains a lot of useful information:
              - The Barcode link opens the item record in the Physical Item Editor.
              - The Library, Location, and Call Number data is pulled from the holding record.
              - The Copy ID is pulled from the item record.
              - Status can be: Item in place on the shelf or Item not in place.
              - In Alma, the Process Type gives more info on Item not in place status. Process types include Loan, Lost, Missing, or Transit.
  1. Search for the physical items of a holding record, then select Items from the ellipsis dropdown menu.

            

        The list of items shows all item records attached to the holding record. This can be useful, for example, when adding an item record to a holding record.

            

  1. Search for a specific item record using its Item ID or barcode, then click on the barcode or Edit Item to open the item record in the Physical Item Editor. This can be useful for updating fields of an item record.
