In this gallery adjacent to Nancy Davidson and Lakshmi Ramgopal’s Hive, the project’s curators have selected art from the collections of KAM and the Spurlock Museum of World Cultures to explore how artists across centuries have represented and produced the ancient world. Gendered and monstrous bodies, copies and casts, and sacred subjects all emerge as themes in dialogue with Hive.
