Illinois Experts is a Research Information Management (RIM) system that brings together a wide variety of data about research and scholarship for the purpose of reducing administrative burden; supporting timely and informed responses to academic, legislative, and public inquiry; and showcasing the important and innovative work being done on the Urbana-Champaign campus.
The Illinois Experts system provides a public portal that facilitates research discovery and access for potential collaborators, partners in industry, students, and citizens of the State of Illinois. Further information about the project is available on the About page.

The Illinois Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship (IDEALS) is the institutional repository of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. You will find a variety of resources within this collection, including published and unpublished papers, datasets, video materials, and audio materials. Faculty, staff, graduate students, and some undergraduate students can deposit their research directly into IDEALS and departments have the option of using IDEALS to distribute working papers, technical reports, and/or other research materials.
This guide is currently being updated as we migrate content that was previously hosted on the Illinois wiki service. Please contact us if you have any questions on IDEALS' policies.
Grainger Engineering Library Information Center's STEM Entrepreneurship & Business Services can assist you in getting started with these and other resources. If you have any questions, please e-mail bis@library.illinois.edu.
