Travel Information

Natural Disasters and School Emergency Drills

Floods: In both Finland and Estonia there is the risk of flooding, from both the coastlines and from rivers. For up-to-date notifications and advice, check the local news.

Wildfires: There is moderate risk of wildfires throughout Estonia and, primarily, in southern Finland. These trends are exacerbated by climate change and monitored by government agencies. 

Extreme Heat: In both countries there is the mild chance of extreme heat during the summer months.

Snow Storms: In Finland, particularly in the north of the country, there is the chance of extreme snow and ice storms.
