The item mapping functionality allows you to have items appear in your collection that were first deposited to another collection.

Log into IDEALS and navigate to the item you would like to map. On the item's page, scroll down to the "Owning Collections" section near the bottom and select "Change." This will open a "Edit Collection Membership" pop-up window. Select "Add Collection" in the bottom left of the window. Then, first select the unit which manages the collection you would like to map the item onto, then select the collection. You can also change which collection is the item's primary collection by selecting the "Primary" option next to the appropriate collection. When finished, select "Save Changes."
