These documents were produced in 1976 to meet the requirements for "phase I plans" described in 40 CFR parts 131 and 132 mandated by the Federal Water Pollution Control Amendments of 1972 (P.L. 92-500).  They discuss water quality standards, including reported standards violations for the river basins based on sampling from 1971-1975.  Physical descriptions of basins and the impact on water quality is included in the reports.
