Files from the offices of the director and assistant director (primarily 1962-79), containing correspondence; contracts; budgets; proposals for projects; reports; minutes and files for conferences and meetings; and material related to contract implementation, staff appointments, travel and pay.  The series pertains to all countries with which the Office of International Programs and Studies dealt, especially India, Sierra Leone, and Iran.  It includes material on international programs committees; inter-institutional cooperation, e.g. MUCIA; Ford and Rockefeller Foundation grants; area studies centers; university research programs and staff; agricultural universities; soybeans; population studies; student exchange programs, the Study Abroad Office and English language instruction.
