Scoping Review

The purposed of a Scoping Review is to characterize the scope and extent of evidence literature related to a broad question or issue.

A scoping review requires:

  • Clear objectives for the study
  • Reproducible methodology
  • Comprehensive search appropriate for time/scope constraints
  • Data extraction and synthesis of the quantity and quality of literature
  • Written review reporting characteristics and findings from literature corpus
