Historical Linguistics

Resources on the history of the French language can be located in the Catalog by subject search. While it may be useful to experiment with keyword searches, a subject heading search is often the most efficient way to find these materials. When searching for resources on French historical linguistics, combine the heading "French language" with additional terms indicating the topic, time period, or type of resource. See suggestions for additional subject headings below.
