The following video shows how you can use Google Docs to auto-transcribe audio content. If you use Google Docs, consider changing your sound input settings from "Microphone" to "Stereo" to get a cleaner transcription.

New media uploaded to Kaltura - including content uploaded to Mediaspace and Canvas - will automatically have auto-generated captions added to it. You can also request auto-generated captions through Mediaspace.
oTranscribe is a free tool for manually transcribing audio or for editing automatically generated transcripts. Please note that oTranscribe saves transcripts to your browser's local storage, which protects your data, but also means it is not possible to access your saved transcripts from another computer.
Adobe Premiere can automatically generate transcripts in a variety of languages via their "Speech to Text" tool.
