The Council of State Governments’ bipartisan, interstate and binational Midwestern Legislative Conference Energy and Environment Committee was established in late 2022. The Midwest ELPC is the leading public interest environmental legal advocacy and eco-business innovation organization. Composed of business people, academics, attorneys, and civic leaders, the ELPC works together to inform legal, economic, scientific, and public policy issues for sustainable action and legislation at both the local and national levels.

IEC coordinates over 100 affiliate member organizations to share resources, mobilize supporters and respond quickly to the most pressing issues facing the environment in Illinois. Their legislative updates provide information on the top environmental bills being considered by the General Assembly each year.

The Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is a non-profit organization that educates about and advocates for widespread solar and renewable energy adoption in the state of Illinois. ISEA is an excellent resource for renewable energy related policy developments, educational classes, events and access to local renewable energy businesses.

Prairie Rivers Network is a non-profit organization grounded in science and working cooperatively with others to advocate public policies and promote ecological health and biological diversity of water resources and aquatic ecosystems. This organization is the independent, state affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation.
