Email alerts are a convenient way to receive updates and be notified when new issues or articles are available.
Many journals and publishers have such a service that you can sign up for. This guide gives step-by-step instructions on how to sign up for alerts from several major mathematics journal publishers.
Sometimes a journal or a particular publisher will only let you sign up to receive Table of Contents (TOC) alerts, where they will email you the table of contents for the newest issue. This is a very common way to get updates from journals.
- If you are interested in real-time updates from your favorite journals, you may prefer to subscribe to an RSS Feed for that journal. More information about RSS Feeds can be found here. If you want help setting up your RSS Reader/Feeds, we would be happy to help you! Email us at math@library.illinois.edu, or give us a call at (217) 333-0258 to get started.
