Requesting Items from the catalog and Returning them to the Library

Books and journals can be requested from the University Library or I-Share Catalogs. You can have materials delivered to your campus mail address, or pick them up at a University Library desk. Materials must be returned to a library desk or book return.

Campus Mail Delivery Available for faculty, staff, and graduate students with campus mail addresses. Choose "UIUC CAMPUS MAIL" as the pickup location when requesting books.
Funk ACES Library
The Funk ACES Library is 0.3 miles from the Natural Resources Building, and 2.1 miles from the Forbes Natural History Building. For returns, there is a book drop at the circle drive entrance that is accessible 24/7. Parking

The Law Library is across 6th street from the Natural Resources Building, and 1.1 miles from the Forbes Natural History Building. Parking

I-Share Libraries
There are I-Share locations throughout the state, and UI and I-Share materials can be returned to any I-Share Library desk. If you live or work outside the C-U area, may be an I-Share location may be a convenient option. Use the I-Share Libraries Map to find a location near you.

- Request Interlibrary Loan for a book not available at UI or via I-Share
- Request a copy/scan of an article or chapter UI does not own
