Robert Ridinger is a subject librarian at Northern Illinois University. He was a featured speaker for the Gay Task Force at the 1985 ALA Midwinter Meeting about his index for The Advocate. He has been on the Stonewall Book Awards Committee on multiple occasions and was chair of the elections committee in 2000.
