Editing Your Document

If you enter a schema, then your XML document will be pre-populated with basic elements. Within each element, you can add content; or type an angle bracket ("<") to see a prompt for the grammatically-correct elements allowed.

Within the TEI editor, a prompt appears when errors are made to flag mistakes.

Use the prompt from Oxygen plus the guidelines for your schema (see the TEI guidelines) to enter and encode your text correctly.
