Permanent access to defunct U.S. government agencies and commissions. Last updated in 2009 so a good resource for early 21st century government information.

The Data Rescue Project (DRP) serves as a clearinghouse for preserving at-risk public information. By integrating information from multiple data rescue initiatives—including DataLumos and others—the portal eliminates the need to search across disparate sources. Users can explore metadata for each rescued dataset, including archived locations, maintaining volunteers, rescuer notes, and downloaded dates. Every dataset is also categorized by its government office and labeled for efficient searching and filtering. We are continuously working to enhance the depth and quality of this metadata.

The End of Term Web Archive contains federal government websites (.gov, .mil, etc) in the Legislative, Executive, or Judicial branches of the government. Websites that were at risk of changing (i.e., whitehouse.gov) or disappearing altogether during government transitions were captured. Local government websites, or any other site not part of the federal government domain were out of scope.

This gateway provides access to a wide variety customized reports for a wide range of environmental compliance topics for each state. Included are complete listings of state and Federal regulations impacting selected environmental topics along with individual state contacts, information, and permits for downloading.

The Public Environmental Data Partners are committed to preserving and providing public access to federal environmental data.
