I-Pollinate is a citizen science research initiative designed to collect state-wide pollinator data. I-Pollinate enlists citizen scientists to participate in three research projects and collect data on monarch egg and caterpillar abundance, pollinator visitation to ornamental flowers, and state bee demographics.

Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS)
Alongside insectaries, controlled environment rooms, and greenhouses, the INHS also has well-equipped laboratories available for insect pathology. Research areas include biodiversity and systematics, invasive species, and epidemiology.
Insect Fear Film Festival (IFFF)
Held every spring, this festival is an opportunity to see movies focused on insects and interact with insects in a petting zoo. The festival usually includes special guest speakers, an art contest, and face painting.

University of Illinois Pollinatarium
The University of Illinois Pollinatarium is the first free-standing science center in the nation devoted to flowering plants and their pollinators. Plan a visit to insects in their own ecosystems.
Planned activities throughout Champaign-Urbana as a way to educate and engage community members about their local ecosystems and pollinators. Previously, activities have included arts & crafts, a booth at the Urbana Farmer's Market, nature walks, and trivia nights.
Contains over 5.5 million specimens and is maintained by the INHS for use in systemic studies, identification services, and as a depository for voucher specimens.
National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA)
Hosted for the National Science Foundation (NSF) by UIUC, the NCSA offers access to the extensive TeraGrid system of linked parallel processors, allowing large-scale computational analyses in phylogenetics, genomics and ecology.
