Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
The Mental Health Clinic at McKinley Health Center provides evaluations, consultations, and recommendations for subsequent treatment for a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Short-term individual psychotherapy and medication is provided when indicated. McKinley's staff of mental health professionals includes licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, an advanced practice registered nurse and clinical social workers.
