Government Jobs


Offers a large number and variety of government jobs in many states and countries, featuring reasonable wages and salary increases.  It can be easier to get other government jobs once you are in the government system.  Note the job application process can take a lot of time, might require taking civil service exams, and some positions are very competitive.

Nonprofit Jobs


Nonprofit database with more than 1.8 million nonprofit organizations using 12 search fields.  Relies on nonprofits provide their mission, programs, leaders, goals, accomplishments, and needs.

Evaluates the financial health of over 5,500 of America's largest charities.  Includes access to some 990 IRS forms (forms that nonprofits must submit to the government).

Free Industry Resources

The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook (use "Search OOH" search bar or search alphabetically)

Contains more that 6,000 job descriptions. Each description includes lengthy explanations of training and qualifications, employment, and job outlook.  Job outlook section may be based on old statistics. Pay careful attention to the date of the data.
