Government Jobs



-Large number and variety of government jobs in many states and countries.

-Reasonable wages and salary increases.

-Easier to get other government jobs once you are in the government system.

-Problems: 1) Application process can take a lot of time, 2) might also have to sit for civil service exams, and 3) some positions are competitive.


Nonprofit Jobs

GuideStar (FREE)

-Description: Nonprofit database.More than 1.8 million nonprofit organizations using 12 search fields.

-Problem: A number of company descriptions are empty.

-Nonprofits provide their mission, programs, leaders, goals, accomplishments, and needs-free.

-Special Features: Some reviews provided.

-Problem: Some of the information is not free.

Charity Navigator (FREE)

-Description: Evaluates the financial health of over 5,500 of America's largest charities.

-Special feature: Some 990 IRS forms (forms that nonprofits must submit to the government) are free. 



Finance Jobs & H1-B Visa Sponsors

Bloomberg (Accessible through the Bloomber machines inside BEL or the Market Information Lab at the College of Business)
