In the "Collection Items" tab of the digitized newspaper collection, Chronicling America, make a keyword search relating to your research topic. See how many results you get without narrowing your search by a geographic location, ethnicity, or date.
Then, refine your results by using the facets at the left. Does your search get more manageable? Select an article and assess it and the newspaper issue as a whole.
