A broadside was a popular form of ephemeral publication defined as a single sheet printed on one side only. This collection contains almost 1,000 American broadsides. Most of the broadsides in this collection are pre-1900.

Considered to be the single most detailed and extensive primary source collection for the study of colonial Texas, the Bexar Archives are the colonial archives of Texas during periods of Spanish and Mexican rule, 1717-1836. The largest part of the archive are government documents. Of special interest to many researchers will be the collection of English translations for a selection of the documents from 1699 to 1812.
