The University Library strives to meet the information needs of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute through world class collections, targeted instruction and open events.
As part of the land grant mission, the University Library partners with OLLI to bring members access to the second largest university research library in North America and the largest publicly-supported university research library in the world. As an OLLI member, you are able to check out materials from the library including books and videos, access online databases such PubMed and ArtSTOR as well as read online newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. This guide is meant to introduce you to the many resources of the University Library and help you to find your way around in-person and online. Read more about us here.
If you have any questions, please contact Ask a Librarian.

PARKING
Daytime parking on the University of Illinois campus can be difficult, and it may be more convenient to walk to some destinations. Check out our virtual maps for more details. There are meters from the City of Champaign, City of Urbana, and the University of Illinois on campus. Please read information listed at your meter for information about fees and enforcement. Most other campus lots are reserved for permit holders only, and your car may be towed if you park in prohibited spaces. University lots are open to visitors after 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays, subject to posted restrictions.
Please note: The parking lot to the west of the Main Library Building is a metered parking lot which does not require a parking permit. Meters are typically not enforced in this parking lot after 5 p.m. and on weekends. Please read the parking meter for enforcement policies. This parking lot also has five designated accessible parking spaces.
Visitors may also take advantage of the campus Motorist Assistance Program for help with keys locked in cars, dead batteries, and certain other kinds of minor car problems. Call 244-HELP (244-4357).
For additional information on parking at Illinois, contact the Parking Department at 1201 W University Ave, Urbana, 333-3530.
