Setting up your library account to check out books:
You need your i-card before you can request books from the U of I and I-Share catalogs.
To obtain an i-card, fill out the photoless i-card request form on the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning website, or contact them by phone at 217-333-1462 or email them at citl-info@illinois.edu.
Once your photoless i-card is activated (this may take a day or two), you should be able to request from the catalog. You need your NetID and password to log into the catalog to see the requesting function.
Accessing electronic journals:
You need your NetID and password. Every student, faculty, and staff member at the University of Illinois has a NetID. Your NetID is the ID you use for your official @illinois.edu email address. It is also the ID for your Enterprise Account, and other University Account information. For more information please visit the Technology Services website, Managing your Accounts and Passwords.
Using DocExpress to request copies of articles unavailable electronically:

Requesting articles through Interlibrary Loan with your ILLiad Account:
