Registering for a free My NCBI account will allow you to save searches and articles, sign up for email alerts, display your format and filters preferences, view your recent activity, and access other additional features.

To set up an account, first access PubMed through the UIUC Library. In the upper right corner, click "Log In." Click the link at the bottom of the window to sign up. You can create a free MyNCBI account with a username, email, and password. An email will be sent to the email address you provided in order to activate your account.
