1. Digitized Newspapers

For the most complete and up-to-date information on finding newspapers, whether current or historical, please visit our Find Newspapers guide. That guide is the best place to begin a search for newspapers.

Most of the digitized historical newspaper collections cover the United States and Britain, with some coverage of Africa, Latin America, and South Asia. Our Historical Newspapers Page lists the most important digitized historical newspaper collections. ICON is a list maintained by the Center for Research Libraries of newspaper digitization projects around the world.

The databases listed below are sources for "current" newspaper content (recent 5 to 15 years), and include newspapers from East Asia.

2. Newspapers on Microform

For a complete list of Chinese newspapers on microfilm here in the Library, please consult the Newspaper Database.

You can also access many more titles through the Center for Research Libraries. Material from CRL can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

Below is a short list of potentially relevant titles.
