Members of the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine community share thoughts on how the veterinary community can be more inclusive to Native American individuals.

On Thursday March 25th 2021, the Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association (MCVMA) collaborated with the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI) to bring an exciting panel of BIPOC women who have broken all the barriers to excel in some of the least diverse fields in veterinary medicine.

The Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association exists to lead veterinary medicine towards the racial and ethnic diversity, equity, and inclusivity that our profession needs to serve a multicultural society.

The Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition was established in 2020 to help meet the needs of members of the BIPOC community and other underrepresented groups who are interested in a veterinary medical education. The goal is to bolster them at each step in their educational journey – from youth to adulthood.
