Art & Design: Art Education

Introduction

Art education leads students to the path of teaching art to grades K-12 in public schools around the world. By learning a combination of art history, culture, and education, the program prepares students to effectively teach the next generation of artists. UIUC has five programs for art education students.

The sources in this LibGuide direct you to databases, journals, and professional resources that center around art education. Other sources focus on topics that are discussed in classes - artistic development in children, visual popular culture, and creating a lesson plan.
