Backed by the magnificent 17-piece Carnegie Hall Big Band, Great American Songbook ambassador Michael Feinstein honors his long-time friend, the legendary Tony Bennett. This powerful musical tribute will feature many of Bennett’s iconic hits, including “Because of You,” “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” “Stranger in Paradise,” and many more. Feinstein’s masterful renditions of these timeless songs pays homage to an era of classic songwriting, and this program also evokes the grand history of Carnegie Hall, which has hosted performances by some of the most illustrious musicians of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and, of course, Tony Bennett himself. The music-making of Feinstein and the Carnegie Hall Big Band continue this tradition, as they bring the Hall’s history to life onstage.
