Introduction

This guide will help you select a topic and conduct research for the Domestic Violence & the Law seminar course (LAW 792) .

The guide has four main tabs:

Some tabs have sub-pages which further divide the topic (For example, Secondary Legal Sources is divided into three sub-pages.) Each page will have an info box on the upper left-hand side which will guide you through the information on the page.

Research Meetings

Don't forget to sign up for your topic selection meeting. Meetings will be held during the week of 9/18 (mandatory).

Before your meeting you must submit the following via e-mail:

  • Citations for the initial resources which you read, along with your reflection
  • A working thesis statement
  • Your research plan
  • A few preliminary sources which you have already located
