About

This guide provides information and links to resources for women in the architecture field looking for scholarships, professional organizations, or career services that may be of help while looking for a first step into joining the field. We have compiled a list of resources to showcase the organizations that support women in architecture as well as scholarships and internships available.

The field of architecture and related fields is vast - there are many opportunities available, and in particular, organizations specifically designed to help women advance in the field. Recent publications from the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) shows that almost half of architecture students in America are women, but women comprise only 17% of registered architects. There are even less women of color practicing in the architecture field - some of these sources are directed towards women of color students in the field.

Resources for this guide were found online and in print resources in the library. Further readings guides you to databases, journals, books, and videos that continue the discussion of women in the field.
