String Resource Guide

Founded in 1946, the American String Teachers Association exists to support string and orchestra teachers and players. Our members range from budding student teachers to artist-status performers. We provide teaching resources, professional education, local and national events, a career center, insurance programs, and access to a vibrant and collaborative strings community.

The Mission of the American Guitar Society is to Promote the beauty of the Classical Guitar via Education, Scholarships, Concerts, and monthly Meetings where members perform.

The American Viola Society intends to be the premier source for all viola-related activities while building a community of enthusiasts and providing resources for the global viola community.

The Violin Society Of America reflects a broad range of interests and concerns of those interested in violins and the art of making instruments and bows of the violin family. Membership in the VSA is open to all who share an interest in the violin, viola, cello, bass and their bows, and thus reflects a broad and diverse range of interests and concerns, including craftsmanship, acoustics, innovation, the history of instruments and performers, technique, performance practice, repertory and other matters pertaining to instruments of the violin family.
