Music Quals and Prelims Guide (DMA and PhD)

This site is intended to provide guidance about library resources for graduate students in the School of Music preparing for qualifying examinations (quals) or preliminary exams (prelims). The information provided here about exam requirements is intended as a guideline only. Always check with the School of Music if you have any questions. Please also reference the School of Music Graudate Handbook, linked to the left.

Use the tabs above to focus on the areas you need (please note there are also additional tabs listed under Finding Music Materials and Finding Journal Articles). Hopefully a lot of this is familiar to you from Mus511, Mus528, or Mus533, but the information here and in those guides can be a good reminder.
