How to Use This Guide

Welcome to the University Library's guide for instructors teaching in Illinois Online programs and courses through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning. The tabs on the left will help you:

  • Integrate Library resources into your Canvas course.
  • Understand options for off-campus access to library collections.
  • Access tutorials to help your students learn core and disciplinary library research practice.
  • Discover a range of print and digital resources available to both online and on-campus students.

Online students should consult the Online & Distance Learners guide for detailed information on accessing and obtaining library materials, using library resources for research, and other library services.

  • Creating class-related guides to research tools and methods in your discipline.
  • Scheduling instructional sessions designed for your class, covering areas such as library research strategies, critical thinking skills, and information literacy.
