Welcome to the William W. Hay Railroad Engineering Collection

This collection, held at the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center, is in memory of William Hay, Professor of Railroad Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for over 30 years.

This collection was donated to the University Library in January 2001 by the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI) and the Federal Railroad Administration.

In accordance with the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center's role as the designated repository for the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA), the Hay Collection at the Grainger Engineering Library is affiliated with the Association of American Railroads
