A guide to graphic pathography

What is graphic medicine?

Graphic medicine, sometimes called graphic pathography, is a term coined by Dr. Ian Williams to refer to comic book, often in the form of memoirs, that address health issues, such as mental and physical illnesses, disabilities, and life stages.  Graphic medicine is valued by the medical community for its ability to address emotionally difficult and medically complex issues in an appealing, non-threatening and easy-to-understand format.
