Good Luck and Get Walking!

Libraries We Walk to

This year, our goal is to walk to 4 movie libraries for a total of 22,494,000 steps!

  1. Harry Potter MoviesThe Hogwarts Library, Northumberland, England  (3,870 miles- 7,740,000 steps)
The Hogwarts Library is located off of a corridor on the first-floor of Hogwarts Castle and contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Overseen by Madam Irma Pince, the library is where students can go to peruse or borrow books to supplement their studies (or for personal enjoyment). The library closes at 8:00 pm.

  2. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade- Library of Alexandretta- Venice, Italy  (1255 miles – 2,510,000 steps)
When Indiana Jones found the X that marks the spot, he actively "broke through" the floor to begin his adventure of discovery.

  3. The Mummy, Cairo Museum of Antiquities  – Cairo, Egypt  (1,474 miles – 2,940,000 steps)

While putting away some books, Evy, the librarian accidentally knocks over every bookshelf in the library. The bookcases falling like dominoes scene was actually filmed in one take!

  4. Aviatar  - Wan Shi Tong's Spirit Library- Zhangjiajie, China  (4,652 miles – 9,304,000 steps)
Several thousand years before Team Avatar's arrival at the Si Wong Desert in 100 AG, Wan Shi Tong built the library with the intention of preserving all the world's knowledge.
