The College of Applied Health Sciences at UIUC has departments in Kinesiology & Community Health, Speech & Hearing Science, Recreation, Sport, & Tourism, and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences.
The members of the Behavioral Neuroscience division use neuroscience techniques mostly (but not exclusively) in animals to understand how the brain works to produce behavior. The program is strongly research oriented and each student works directly with a faculty mentor.
The Cognitive Neuroscience division offers a comprehensive program encompassing both human and animal approaches to questions about functional organization and neural architecture of cognition.
