Kernos is the only international scientific journal entirely devoted to the study of the religious facts and phenomena in ancient Greece. It aims at providing, not only to the scholars of this field, but also to everyone interested in religious problematics, an instrument of reflexion and working tools to progress in the knowledge of the religious system of the Greeks.

Klio is one of the oldest journals in the German Altertumswissenschaften. It publishes articles on the history of ancient Greece and Rome, including their relations to the ancient Near East, and also covers specialist areas such as epigraphy, papyrology, archaeology, and numismatics. Brief book reviews provide an overview of the latest publications in the field.

Ktèma est une revue annuelle à vocation internationale consacrée à l'étude des civilisations de l'Orient, de la Grèce et de Rome antiques. The journal LATOMUS, founded in 1937 by Marc-Antoine KUGENER, Léon HERRMANN and Marcel RENARD and continued by Jean PRÉAUX, Guy CAMBIER, Carl DEROUX and David ENGELS, is currently published under the stewardship of a collective editorial board. The Journal receives financial assistance from the FNRS (Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique) as well as from the FU (Belgian University Foundation).

The Journal appears quarterly: each year, it comprises a volume of approximately 1,200 pages. The Journal publishes articles, reading notes and reviews, including a rich fund of information, often previously unpublished and abundantly illustrated. The languages used by LATOMUS are French, English, German, Spanish, Italian and Latin.

Levant is an international peer-reviewed journal of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), a British Academy-sponsored institute with research centres in Amman and Jerusalem, and which also supports research in Syria, Lebanon and Cyprus. Levant welcomes papers dealing with the past of the Middle East (Palaeolithic–Ottoman) from a range of disciplinary perspectives including anthropology, archaeology, history and heritage studies. While contributions to Levant should be in English, the journal actively seeks to publish papers from researchers of any nationality who are working in its areas of interest.

Litterae Caelestes is an international peer-reviewed journal of paleography, codicology, diplomatics, and the history of written records. It includes scholarly articles, brief communications, reviews of articles and books, and reports on work in progress. Each issue is richly illustrated and fully indexed. One issue appears each year. The print version is produced in Italy. This digital version is produced in collaboration with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CMRS) at UCLA.

LCM was first published in 1976 and continued until 1995. It was founded and edited by John Pinsent, a classical scholar at Liverpool University in England. Because of this, it was sometimes known as Pinsent's Paper.

Diese Reihe steht nach Absicht und Stil in der Tradition der einst von C. Bursian begründeten »Jahresberichte über die Fortschritte der classischen Altertumswissenschaft«. Es werden kritisch wertende Literaturberichte über internationale Forschungsergebnisse und Entwicklungstendenzen auf wichtigen Gebieten der klassischen Altertumswissenschaften vorgelegt. Die Forschungsberichte werden in deutscher, englischer, französischer oder italienischer Sprache publiziert (möglich wäre auch Latein). Sie präsentieren die einschlägigen Neuerscheinungen des angegebenen Zeitraums und geben für die wichtigsten unter ihnen eine kurze kommentierte Inhaltsangabe.

In den Madrider Mitteilungen werden Beiträge zu Themen der hispanischen und west-nordafrikanischen Altertumskunde von den Anfängen bis zur Zeit der Reconquista veröffentlicht. Besondere Berücksichtigung finden die von der Abteilung betreuten Forschungen sowie kurze Berichte zur Archäologie der Iberischen Halbinsel und des westlichen Nordafrika.

Manuscripta: A Journal for Manuscript Research publishes articles, notes, and reviews in medieval and Renaissance manuscript studies. The journal accepts submissions on topics relating (but not limited) to paleography, codicology, illumination, book production, library history, reading and literacy, textual editing and transmission, and manuscript catalogues. Manuscripta (ISSN 0025-2603) is published twice yearly for the Knights of Columbus Vatican Film Library. For print and online subscriptions, contact Brepols Publishers. Medical History is a refereed journal devoted to all aspects of the history of medicine, health and related sciences, with the goal of broadening and deepening the understanding of the field, in the widest sense, by historical studies of the highest quality. It is associated with the European Association for the History of Medicine and Health, the Asian Society for the History of Medicine, and the World Health Organization's Global Health Histories initiative. The membership of the Editorial Board reflects the commitment to the finest international standards in refereeing of submitted papers and the reviewing of books. The journal publishes in English, but welcomes submissions from scholars for whom English is not the first language; language and copy-editing assistance will be provided wherever possible.

The Medieval Globe is a peer-reviewed journal launched in 2014, published by Arc Humanities Press at Medieval Institute Publications. It explores the modes of communication, materials of exchange, and myriad interconnections among regions, communities, and individuals in an era central to human history.

Since its founding in 1943, Medievalia et Humanistica has won worldwide recognition as the first scholarly publication in America to devote itself entirely to medieval and Renaissance studies. Since 1970, a new series, sponsored by the Modern Language Association of America and edited by an international board of distinguished scholars and critics, has published interdisciplinary articles. In yearly hardcover volumes, the new series publishes significant scholarship, criticism, and reviews treating all facets of medieval and Renaissance culture: history, art, literature, music, science, law, economics, and philosophy.

Bollettino bibliografico della cultura europea da Boezio a Erasmo (secoli VI-XV)

«Medioevo latino» è una bibliografia ragionata relativa prevalentemente ai testi scritti in lingua latina tra l'anno 475 e gli inizi del XVI secolo; pur con questa specificità comprende numerose sezioni dedicate ad argomenti più generalmente storici e culturali. La pubblicazione esce annualmente con periodicità regolare dal 1980, per un totale odierno di trentuno volumi. La bibliografia è il risultato dello spoglio sistematico, completo e diretto di libri, riviste e considera sia monografie sia singoli articoli apparsi in riviste e opere miscellanee; la caratteristica che contraddistingue l'informazione bibliografica offerta da «Medioevo latino» è la presenza per la grande maggioranza delle voci di una sintesi orientativa del contenuto dei vari titoli segnalati. Sono presenti quattro indici: dei manoscritti, lessicale, geografico e degli studiosi.

La rivista si avvale di un'ampia collaborazione nazionale e internazionale (più di cento sono i collaboratori) per la gran parte facenti capo a ventotto redazioni, diciassette italiane: Foggia, Bologna, Firenze, Genova (due redazioni), Lecce (due redazioni), Milano (due redazioni), Napoli (due redazioni), Perugia, Roma (due redazioni), Sassari, Siena, Verona e undici straniere: Bonn, Cambridge, Gottinga, Jena, Colonia, Münster, Parigi, Porto, Santiago di Compostella, Zurigo e una redazione statunitense nelle università di Seattle, WA e Columbus, OH. Since its foundation in 1988, Mediterranean Archaeology has succeeded not only in providing a much-needed medium through which archaeologists in Australasia report on their research and field work in the Mediterranean region, but also in establishing itself as a journal of international import. Its comparatively large format and its high production quality both reflect the priority given to the presentation of archaeological material, be it from excavations or from collections and museums.

L'École française de Rome publie un périodique, les Mélanges de l'École française de Rome, divisé depuis 1974 en trois séries : Antiquité (MEFRA), Moyen Âge (MEFRM), Italie et Méditerranée modernes et contemporainse (MEFRIM), à compter de deux livraisons annuelles chacune.

Les MEFRA publient des articles portant sur l’histoire, la culture et l’archéologie des mondes anciens en Méditerranée, en particulier en Italie, en Afrique du Nord et dans les Balkans, mais portant également sur les interactions entre cet espace et le reste du monde antique. Ils publient aussi des dossiers thématiques en lien avec les fouilles et les programmes scientifiques de l’EFR, et plus généralement des études relevant de diverses disciplines (histoire, archéologie, archéométrie, épigraphie, philologie, droit etc.), de la Préhistoire à la fin de l’Antiquité.

Les MEFRM ont constitué, de 1971 à 1988, une série commune avec les Temps Modernes et, depuis 1989, une série indépendante avec deux fascicules annuels. Ils proposent des contributions scientifiques originales dans les domaines de l’histoire, de l’archéologie et des sciences sociales sur l’Italie et la Méditerranée du haut Moyen Âge à la Renaissance. La plupart des fascicules contiennent un dossier thématique coordonné par un spécialiste. Les articles, qui comprennent souvent l’édition de sources inédites et des cahiers iconographiques, illustrent les divers champs de la médiévistique contemporaine. Ils sont publiés en français, en italien et en anglais, avec des résumés dans la langue de l’auteur et en anglais.

Les MEFRIM publient des articles d’histoire moderne et contemporaine portant sur l’histoire de l’Italie, de la Méditerranée et ses interactions avec la péninsule italienne, des relations et des échanges franco-italiens. Compte tenu des fonds romains, la revue accorde une place importante à l’histoire de Rome, de l’Église et de la papauté tout en couvrant tous les domaines disciplinaires. Elle est ouverte au droit et aux sciences sociales, en particulier à la géographie, à la sociologie et aux sciences politiques. Elle publie des dossiers thématiques en lien avec les programmes scientifiques de l’École et des sources.

The Mélanges de l’École française de Rome – Antiquité (MEFRA) offer articles about history, culture and archaeology of ancient Mediterranean world, with a particular focus on Italy, Northern Africa and Balkans, and also on the connections between those regions and the rest of the Ancient world. Thematic sections are also included in connection with the excavations and the scientific programs coordinated by the EFR. Other subjects are covered such as history, archaeology, archeometry, epigraphy, philology, ancient law etc., from Prehistory to the end of Antiquity.

Founded in 1988 by Conrado Eggers Lan (Universidad de Buenos Aires), Méthexis seeks to promote studies and research in the history of ancient philosophy (throughout the course of its development), so as to offer scholars a venue for discussing and comparing their results. Within this general framework, the journal stands out on account of two distinguishing features: 1) it welcomes, or indeed solicits, contributions reflecting different schools of thought and methodological approaches, be they analytical, hermeneutical, historical or chiefly philological contributions; 2) the journal values the wide range of national traditions, including – as far as this is possible – from a linguistic perspective, as it accepts contributions in five languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish); by doing so, the journal seeks to present itself as an “international” publication, in the strictest sense of the term.

La collection Mètis est née en 1986 d’une collaboration entre hellénistes grecs et français. Elle s’est donné comme but d’étudier l’Antiquité grecque en se plaçant dans la perspective d’une anthropologie historique du monde grec ancien, tout en gardant le lien avec les disciplines érudites (philologie, histoire, archéologie, etc.), en prenant compte les apports de diverses sciences humaines (ethnologie, sociologie, linguistique, psychologie, psychanalyse). Elle a plus récemment pris le parti d’interroger aussi les cultures romaine et byzantine.
De dimension internationale, elle ouvre ses publications à cinq langues (français, grec, anglais, italien, allemand) et son comité de lecture se compose de spécialistes originaires de divers pays européens (France, Grèce, Italie, Allemagne, Angleterre, etc.), ainsi que des États-Unis.

Revista de Filología fundada en 1951 y cuyo tema es la filología egea. Actualmente, su es Julián Mendez Dosuna, profesor de la Universidad de Salamanca. La revista tiene una periodicidad anual (1 volumen al año) y publica los textos fundamentalmente en inglés.

Die "Römischen Mitteilungen" des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts sind eine jährlich erscheinende Zeitschrift mit anonymem Begutachtungsverfahren (Peer-Review). In der Nachfolge des ›Bullettino dell'lnstituto di Corrispondenza Archeologica‹ fördern sie seit 1829 den internationalen wissenschaftlichen Austausch in den Bereichen Archäologie, Kunst und Architektur Italiens und angrenzender Gebiete. Die Zeitschrift versteht sich als Plattform für die Vorstellung und Diskussion der materiellen Kultur von der prähistorischen Zeit bis ins Frühmittelalter, mit traditionell besonderem Schwerpunkt auf der klassischen Antike.
Übersichtliche Manuskripte auf Deutsch, Englisch, Italienisch und Französisch, von Einzelstudien bis zu Grabungsberichten, sind in den ›Römischen Mitteilungen‹ herzlich willkommen. Manuskripte können jederzeit eingereicht werden. Zur Gewährleistung eines hohen Qualitätsstandards in Text und Bild müssen die Richtlinien des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts berücksichtigt werden.

Es publiziert literaturwissenschaftliche und philologische Aufsätze zur lateinischen Textkultur des Mittelalters. Traditionelle Schwerpunkte hierbei sind Paläografie, Textkritik und Editionen; neu hinzugekommen sind Literaturtheorie, Frömmigkeits- und Mentalitätsgeschichte. Der Rezensionsteil informiert über zentrale Neuerscheinungen des Fachs. Der von den Redaktionen erstellte Literaturbericht zum Abschluss eines Jahrgangs bietet in knapper Form einen Überblick über aktuelle Publikationen aus der weiteren Mediävistik. Den Übergangsbereichen zwischen dem Mittellatein und den volkssprachlichen Literaturen, der spätantiken Latinität sowie dem frühneuzeitlichen Humanismus wird sowohl im Aufsatz- als auch im Rezensionsteil Rechnung getragen.

Since its first appearance in 1852, as a journal of textual criticism, Mnemosyne has been securing its position as one of the world's leading journals in its field. Its position is built on the thorough and famous Dutch academic tradition. Authors around the world contribute to Mnemosyne which results in a unique and special combination of European and American visions. Its presence in libraries around the globe is a sign of its continued success as an invaluable resource material.
Featuring primarily English articles, Mnemosyne also contains an extensive Book Review Section and the worldwide famous 'Miscellanea' section (short articles on particular excerpts). The Book Review Section does not focus at one single field, but utilizes a multidisciplinary approach.

Volumes in this peer-reviewed series treat subjects concerning the material and visual culture of the Greek and Roman world from later prehistory to Late Antiquity (that is from the middle of the 2nd millennium BCE to the third quarter of the 1st millennium CE). Geographically the area covered ranges from Western Europe to the Near East, from the Black Sea to Northern Africa. Monumenta Græca et Romana will continue to house monographs on the type of thematic subjects in the area of the history of ancient art already produced in the series; henceforth it will also contain volumes which constitute full, analytical catalogues raisonés of similar classes of material in the collections of museums and other public institutions.

Mouseion aims to be a distinctively comprehensive Canadian journal of Classical Studies, publishing articles and reviews in both French and English. One issue annually is normally devoted to archaeological topics, including field reports, finds analysis, and the history of art in antiquity. The other two issues focus on all other areas of Greek and Roman antiquity, including literature, history, philosophy, religion, and reception studies.

Schweizerische Zeitschrift für klassische Altertumswissenschaft. Das Museum Helveticum wird seit 1944 in Verbindung mit der Schweizerischen Vereinigung für Altertumswissenschaft und mit Unterstützung der Schweizerischen Akademie der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften publiziert. Es ist die einzige Schweizer Zeitschrift, die Beiträge aus der gesamten klassischen Altertumswissenschaft veröffentlicht, einschliesslich der Papyrologie, Epigraphik und (mit Einschränkungen) Archäologie. Es will nicht nur die Schweizer Forschung fördern und repräsentativ darstellen, sondern auch die Kontakte mit der internationalen Forschergemeinschaft pflegen und vertiefen. Entsprechend steht die Zeitschrift zum einen den in der Schweiz Lehrenden und Lernenden offen und versteht sich auch als Mittel der Nachwuchsförderung, zum anderen ist sie seit ihren Anfängen auch Publikationsorgan der internationalen Forschergemeinschaft; dementsprechend ist neben den drei Landessprachen Englisch häufige Publikationssprache. Entstanden ist das Museum Helveticum während des Zweiten Weltkrieges aus der Zusammenarbeit einiger damals führender altertumswissenschaftlicher Lehrstuhlinhaber, die, abgeschnitten von den bisherigen europäischen Publikationsorganen, der schweizerischen Altertumswissenschaft ein Diskussionsforum schaffen und gleichzeitig die Zusammengehörigkeit betonen wollten; der erste Band erschien 1944. Nach Kriegsende wurde die Zeitschrift zum Organ der schweizerischen altertumswissenschaftlichen Forschung.
