Once you've located an article via searching a library database, follow these steps to access the full text:
- Check to see if there is a link to a PDF or HTML webpage with full text. These links have different names and locations depending on the database you are searching.
-
If an article has a Discover Full Text button next to it, the Library may have full text in a different location. Clicking the link will take you from the database record to online full text.
-
-
If the article is not available online AND the University Library does not have a print copy (or if the print copy is unavailable), you may request a copy via
Interlibrary Loan. This service is free for University of Illinois affiliates, and you will receive an email at your Illinois address when the article is available for you to download as a PDF file.
- If you're not sure if we own the article, or need help researching, Ask a Librarian.
