This is a comprehensive collection of citations to dissertations and theses worldwide from 1861 to the present day. Full-text is available for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and some of the older graduate works. It is also the official digital dissertations archive for the Library of Congress and the database of record for graduate research. British and Irish dissertations and theses since 1761 are also included as well as abstracts for content since 1986.

A searchable index beginning in 1985 is now available through the Marburger Archive, including some full-text links. Identifies theses completed and in progress from both German and foreign institutions. Recent issues and previous volumes in available at Main Stacks.

A database of cataloged Foreign Doctoral Disserations. No new pieces are being added to this database. These dissertations and new pieces can be searched in their catalog.

In the June issue, the Bulletin publishes the annual list of U.S. and Canadian Dissertations. The lists for 2002 and later are now available online.

Each issue lists theses in subject areas identified in the table of contents for that issue.
