The Animal Science undergraduate program requires students to choose one of three degree concentrations:

  1. Companion Animal & Equine Science
  2. Food Animal Production & Management
  3. Science, Pre-Veterinary & Medical

While each concentration has specific required courses, all students must take a core of Animal Science courses. On this page is information pertaining to the required course ANSC 224: Animal Reproduction and Growth. 

Course Description

"Study of the basic principles of reproduction, lactation, growth, and hormonal regulation in animals as well as humans, including cell growth and differentiation, processes of reproduction, biotechnological methods of reproductive control, manipulation, performance enhancement of lactation and growth." - Course Explorer

Prerequisites: ANSC 100, ANSC 221.
