Governor General’s Literary Awards
The Governor General’s Literary Awards ( https://ggbooks.ca/#winners ) are given annually to the best English-language and French-language books in each of the seven categories of Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, Drama, Young People's Literature (Text), Young People's Literature (Illustrated Books), and Translation (from French to English, and from English to French). These awards are administered by the Canada Council for the Arts.

The International Center for Haitian, Caribbean and Afro-Canadian Archives and Libraries
The CIDIHCA, located in Montréal, fulfills its archival center's mission by offering to as many people as possible materials on Haiti, the Caribbean diaspora and Afro-Canadian communities. Archival research and persistent updating of its materials have allowed the CIDIHCA to become a site for vital reference.

The following call numbers can help with browsing for potentially overlooked writers in our collections. Remember that in our Main Stacks, the two systems are housed on different sides of the central stairwell, Dewey on the west and Library of Congress on the east. The front desk has directions.
