UIUC Gaming Collections

Introduction to the video game and board game collections at the University of Illinois Library, including information about location, circulation, and organizations at UIUC related to games.

About the Collection

The University Library Games Collection consists of over 1,000 video games and over 150 board games, available to circulate for library patrons. The collection used to be housed at the Undergraduate Library, but with Undergrad's closing, the games came under the management of the Global Popular Culture collection. The most popular and recent video games are located at Grainger Engineering Library, while the bulk of the collection is split between the Main Stacks and Oak Street Libraries. Board games are housed almost exclusively at the Grainger Engineering Library.
