This International and Area Studies Library provides subject experts, services, and collections focused on African Studies; East Asian Studies; European Union Studies; Global Studies; Latin American and Caribbean Studies; Middle East and North African Studies; Russian East European, and Eurasian Studies; and South Asian Studies. UIUC's Games Collection is managed by the Global Pop Culture Librarian.

Grainger Engineering Library serves the Grainger College of Engineering and provides innovative services such as the IDEA Lab which functions as a demonstration and prototyping site for exploring the interface between design learning, informatics, visualization, and data analytics.

The Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library (SSHEL) provides research and instructional services to faculty, staff, and students in the College of Applied Health Sciences; College of Education; School of Social Work; School of Information Sciences; School of Labor and Employment Relations; and the Departments of American Indian Studies, Anthropology, Asian American Studies, Economics, Gender & Women’s Studies, Geography and Geographic Information Science, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.
