Illinois School of Architecture Spring 2023 Lecture Series: Climate Fictions: About

The Illinois School of Architecture Spring 2023 Lecture Series theme is "Climate Fictions".

About This Guide

Purpose

Climate Fictions explores architecture's role in positioning new narratives that frame our present situation as that of living a future already marked by climate change. This guide is intended to help connect architecture students and other attendees of the ISoA Lecture Series to more information about each of the guest speakers.

Organization

Each Lecture Series event has its own tab, whether that's an individual speaker or a panel discussion. After the event has passed and the recording is available, we will upload the video onto the corresponding page. We are currently working on collecting resources for this guide, so please check back soon to view new tabs as we update. For resources related to each lecture, we have primarily looked for books, articles and videos. Some of the books are in-process of being purchased for the Ricker Library's collections. In the meantime, please feel free to request them through the Interlibrary Loan option. This can get you a copy of the book from another library sent to you. If you have any questions about how to do so, please don't hesitate to ask us for help!

How to contact us

Please feel free to reach out to us about any questions, feedback, and suggestions you might have! You can email us at rickerlibrary@library.illinois.edu or visit us in-person during our open hours. We're located on the second floor of the Architecture Building right across the street from Temple Buell Hall!
