The University of Michigan’s Center for Sustainable Systems has developed set of factsheets that cover topics including energy, water, food, waste, buildings, materials, and transportation systems. Each factsheet presents important patterns of use, life cycle impacts and sustainable solutions. They are designed to inform policymakers, business professionals, students and teachers. The factsheets are peer-reviewed and updated annually.

Learn the twelve principles of green chemistry taught during The Green Chemistry & Engineering Student Workshop on Monday, June 17, 2013 in Washington D.C. This includes information on the type of facility assessed (size, industry, energy usage, etc.) and details of resulting recommendations (type, energy & dollars savings etc.). This handbook is divided into six sections. Each section and appendix can be read on its own or together with the others. A national non-profit membership-based organization located in Boston, Massachusetts. PSI works with state and local government agencies to partner with manufacturers, retailers, environmental groups, federal agencies, and other key stakeholders to reduce the health and environmental impacts of consumer products. These toolkits draw heavily from the experience of organizations that have pioneered integrated approaches to lean and environmental decision-making while at the same time delivering world class performance, exerting market leadership, and achieving bottom line results. The Sector Notebook series is a unique set of profiles containing information for specific industries and governments. Unlike other resource materials, which are organized by air, water and land pollutants, the Notebooks provide a holistic approach by integrating processes, applicable regulations and other relevant environment information. EPA is not actively maintaining this series.
