Stories of Service Exhibit: Collecting Stories

Details an oral history project by librarian J.J. Pionke that involved interviewing veterans both about their experience in the service and their experiences with libraries and reading.

Participating in the Veterans History Project

Anyone can volunteer to interview one or more vets for the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project!  It's an excellent way to preserve a piece of family history or get to know a loved one better while making an important contribution to the historical record of our country.  Interviews may be done on video or audio only.  In addition, the program also accepts original photographs, written accounts and other ephemera. See the links below for complete guidelines.
